transition from round to trapezoid

Hi all,
I need to create flat state of the round-to-trapezoid transition.
I made the solid model and converted to sheetmetal as a shell. The model is fine, but it's impossible to make a flat state.

I would suggest you to use the flatten quilt option to flaten the surface and keep in mind that you will have to apply the kfactor externally by mathematical calculation.

Allways use the midsurface in flatten quilt option.

Thank you for answer.
The problem with the flatten quilt is that the surfaces have to be tangent. In my model surfaces aren't and I think they can't be tangent.
