trial version won’t run - help

Hi everyone. New user and student here. I'm taking intro wildfire 2 at a local community college. The text book came with a trial version. After I loaded and tried to run it, I got some kind of license error about FLEXlm being of a newer version than proe recognizes. What the heck is that about and how can I fix it? My instructor told me about this sight and suggested I ask the forum. Any ideas?
