I just had the same problem. I am using WF2.0 and found that the unfolded option was greyed out. So I started by creating a general view, but before defining its orientation, select your offset xsec (you created in part mode) and the total unfold option. Then in "view type" you can orient the view by a reference angle in case the view it automatically displays is not in the position you want. Unfortunately I haven't been able to create projection views from it, so I just created another regular general view to show where the xsec lines go thru. Hope this helps.
