Unwanted display of GTOL in model

New member
I am having a problem with GTOL's that I have created in the drawing being displayed all of the time in the model. I cannot figure out what setting to change to shut it off. It will not let me select it and put it on a layer. I notice that the GTOL's showup in the model tree. I don't remember this being a problem in 2001.

Interesting...you should be able to create you new layer and select them either from the graphics window or model tree to add them to the layer.

Maybe an alternative would be to create a layer and use a rule (search tool) to collect all the gtol features.

Hi MillerME,
To delete a Gtol use "Delete Many Icon"
(Tools > Customize Screen > under Category Select Drawing > Delete Many icon.)
Can you please let me know
In Which version did you create drawing?
How did you create that Gtol was it's Gtol ID called in note-- attached to Dimension witness line or by some other method just try to recollect and let me know.
Also in which version did you retrieve the drawing.

Thanks in Advance,
-Pramod

WF2 --I have exactly the same problem and cannot hide the Gtol in model neither put them in another layer.....hope somebody can help.

thanks

Well all GTOL's surface finish you create in drawing are showing in model, this has something to do with 3D drawing stuff, some new thing PTC is pushing out.

I have tried to create GTOL's and put them in Layer, blank them and it works. GTOL's are now in part considered as annotation so try while you selecting in filter use annotation to be able to select them.
Also good advice is what Caldwell said to create rule for putting automatically annotation in layer (and this could be created in start part so you don't have to do it all the time).

Another thing is that maybe build you are on is budged, for instance WF 2.0 M130 is really messy, I have tried in WF 2.0 M180 and it works fine.
