is there a way to undo "delete old versions" ??

Only if they ended up in the recycle bin. Otherwise, do a web search for an 'undelete' utility.

Backup tape. You do do backups, right?

They don't end up in the recycle bin unless you manually deleted them with Windoze Explorer.

Cant help but that button needs to be added along with the "sanding" button when working on castings.
