Variable Chamfer

Dear All,

I have got two plates, connected by a bracket with variable thickness, I would like to create a chamfer with a variable depth following the thickness of the bracket.

I have tried to use the transition but did not obtain the result that i am looking for.

Thanks

I dont think you can make a varible chamfer with the chamfer feature. You may have to use some other feature to get the geometry that you want. You could try creating a boundary blend to make a cut.

Fabiogeraci,

If I recall correctly, When you make your chamfer you should get the square with two balls at the end of lines. Right click on that square to see if you can add another chamfer dimension. This may only work with rounds, perhaps someone can verify this.

Well,

I think i should say that I am trying to create a weld between the two plates connected through the bracket with variable thickness, hope this is going to help you

Cheers
