Excelent job
I saw that you put equation for naca profiles!
Did u ever try to create naca profile with tvo conic arcs....i did.
Do you have naca generator in proe?
I would like to do it...because i use it a lot of times (sailing boat).,. rudder and keel and sails.
I've just experimented with creating a couple of the simple four
digit airfoils. There was someone on the ptcuser.org list (I think it
was) that had done some more complex piecewise multi-equation profiles
but there wasn't any elaboration on creation details or usage.
I have experimented a little with piecewise fitting of beziers and
b-splines to the profiles. Mostly to get an idea of the curves
characteristics, see what's possible, what might be practical.
Speaking of 'fitting' (this deserves a topic of it's own but I think
it should be mentioned, since I put a 'check curve' in that file);
I believe that the Pro/E Deviation analysis function only checks the
distance between a curve's knots and a reference surface. Maximum
deviations will usually be somewhere in the span between two knots.
For comparison, with (IIRC) the curve in it's posted location Rhino
reports a max deviation of about .015". Just something to keep in mind.
