I want to have vertical orientation of family table on drawing.Is it possible?
Being more clear...i want parameter names in first column and values for various instances in other columns..
I can rotate table with 2D region..but text remains in same orientation....even if i rotate individual text also..it does not adjust column width/height...
In stead of rotating I think you want ascending andrightward.The lastcell pick to define the region will be different depending on how the table is created.
this is waht exactly i m looking for...because i have only 3 instances and many parameters(from A to S)..
have created table with ascending and rightward option.
but confused about:
1. cell selection for 2D repeat region
2. parameter assignment in which cell??..(like fam.inst.param.name, fam. inst.param.value.......)
The example you find in the help is for a descending rightward table but the steps are similar for the other three that can be created.
Starting with four table cells:
Your first two selections define the outer boundary of the region. It doesn't matter how you pick the diagonals for the four tablesyou will get the same outer region. You can pick the cells upper left and lower right, lower right and upper left, upper right and lower left, or lower left and upper right.
Your third cell selection does matter this is the cell where the table expands and will contain the &fam.inst.param.value report symbol. The third cell selection fordescending rightward is lower right, for ascending rightward it is upper right, for descending leftward it is lower left, and for ascending leftward it is upper left.
The report symbols &fam.inst.name and &fam.inst.param.name can be in the following cells and are interchangable:
1. descending rightward and ascending leftward - upper right and lower left
2. ascending rightward and descending leftward - upper left and lower right
