Proe doesnot do that.if you want the thread to be visible as a realtime thread then use helical sweep cut.But I would never do it unless I was a part of the fastner manufacturing company coz it consumes a lot of memory and will take more time for regeneration( when the number of components are more).
Thats unfortunate, I dont think a fake thread for aesthetics would use much memory, ie just have a black/grey coloured striped surface which looks as if its a 3d thread. Much like inventor.
