visibilities

Hi,

I am using 2004-

I am modeling a feature on whichthe wall thickness is critical. I wanted to check this using VIEW>DISPLAY SETTINGS>VISIBILITIES, where it allows you to "cut" thru the model at various depths - but the visibilities window will not allow me to adjust the CLIP and DEPTH CUE settings. Do I have to activate these in config.pro? How do I fix this so that I can use this feature?

Thanks

A better option might be Analysis >Model > Thickness. With this you can adjust the number of slices & their offset distance between any two points in any direction, etc.

Thanks mgnt8, I'll try that.

But I still have the problemthatthis portion of pro E - which i would like to use - is not workingfor me. If anyone could still answer the original question it would be apreciated.

Thanks

I don't think there is a config.pro setting explicitly for those. Are you sure you're running your graphics card in opengl? Check your config.pro GRAPHICS setting.

Which version of Pro/E are you running? On WF 2.0, the option is for Clip% and you can move in 1% increments. This works for open_gl and win32_gdi.

version 2004 - its sounds the same as you described, but I can't move the percentage increments, its all just grayed out - thats the problem.

Did I miss something last year - what's version 2004? Are we talking about Pro/E or Solidworks?

Thanks for all the help so far mgnt8. I am not active on Maintenance.

The thing about my whole situation is that my co-worker has the same setup as me, as far as his work station, and he can use the visibilities. So I figured it had to be a setting somewhere.
