Warp Feature Question

Hi everyone,
I've been trying to run through a wrap tutorial from PTC and one thing is driving me nuts. It's called the 'Warp a Drill' Tutorial. This is the front page, you may have seen it:

Now in the tutorial they edit two solids,

1. a sphere
2. a cyliner
and they turn them into a drill. Now my question is this:

In the tutorial they seem to be able to edit 'one of the solids at a time' with the Warp feature. How is this possible?

Every time I select the cylinder it also selects the sphere and visa-versa. I need to 'Warp' one at a time. Like the tutorial does.

I have tried creating an assembly with the two parts but the warp feature isn't available.

Can someone please point me in the right direction here. The fix is probably just the the tick of a box but I'd appreciate any input.

Regards
Ben

From the first picture it looks like the cylinder is a hollow surface, not a solid. Could that be your problem?

How are the models setup (model tree)? I created a part that had a solid shpere and hollow cylinder and had no problem warping them individually.

Here is a screenshot of how I've got the model setup.

Where am I going wrong? Here is a close up of the model tree.

Thanks guys.

I don't see anything that would be causing the problem you are having. However, I'm using WF2 and WF3. One suggestion I have is once you have started the warp tool and selected the geometry check the References tab to see what geometry is selected.
