welded tubing design

hello,



I am pretty new to Pro/e and find my self having to do quite-a-bit of
welded tubing design with lots of funny axles and odd-ball mitres.



does anybody know of a free tutorial that may demonstrate this type of construction in pro engineer?



right now each welded tube segment is its own part, is this the best way to do it?



i have done similar in inventor using 3d sketches and extruding X-sections "to-from" or sweeps "to-from" is Pro/e similar?
