WF2 to WF

Hi all-

Wouldn't it be something if you could transfer files back and forth between Wildfire versions and still retain the part model tree?

I don't know of any way (besides using neutral and standard exchange file formats) but I have seen it discussed on Usenet groups often with no solution.

Its just not meant to be I guess.

ok thanks. But i need the part with their features. becausei didthe files in WF2 version. But client asking it inWF version also. and onething, how u created the movie file(help file) in WF? may i know that?

Backward compatibility (that retains feature information) is extremely difficult to implement. The main reason being that new and improved features and entities will always show up in newer version of an application, and that it is close to impossible to make old versions of that same application know about features and entities that didn't exist at the time the application was created.

How complex is your part?

You could make UDF's of various fetaures of your part and then "rebuild' your part in WF. I am guessing that UDF's are backward compatable.

Remodel it.

Combination of the above ideas.
