Hello ProE people,

I need to add "wood grain"texture to parts I model.

Can anybody help me with that?

Thanks,

Woodgrain should be a pretty standard texture file in your library. Im sure there is usually oak, planks etc.

You have to add as texture files. If you dont have them let me know and i`ll send you one.

Or... dont you know how to apply testures ?

Geneg - go to color and appearance. create new (+). click on the map tab at the bottom of the editor. click on the color texture box and search for the wood grain file (jpg or tx3) and apply to model. Most texture files are stored in the graphic-library/textures folders under your proe folder on the c: drive.

Geneg, buy the book by Steven G. Smith of Cadquest on Photorender. I bought it and it's very useful. Better to spend 30 dollars than 2 to 3 hours of struggle.

Cheers,

Ooops. I forgot. You can take photos of your favorite wood grain and use that as the wood texture... It's in the book
