wrap a curve around a cylinder

hello all,


how do i wrap a curve around a cylinder to use as a guide


to create a cut? some what like a drill bit. i am using WF1.

why not simply use a helical sweep ?

all u do is



define the axies of revolution

the style of cut ( variable or fixed pitch)

define ur section





hope this helps. otherwise try to provide a picture or something

if u want more control over the curve u might want to seek to construct
the curve using equations. but i think helical sweep will do it very
well.
