is it possible to write scripts for proe application? if so how? what are the necessary tools required and what all i should know to successfully write scripts? i dont have pro/toolkit.

You can write Pro/Program, use J-Link or Weblink (in Java and they are free) or you can use for example Automation Gateway (COM interface - VB, .NET, must be purchased, is much cheaper than Pro/Toolkit, but it has less functions).

It depends what you need to write...

Dear Navaneeth,

What is your requirement? As Tom said exactly the same.I agree with Tom repaly.Based on need and Req't of yours accrdingly need to write the programs.

It is not scripts, some are Pro-Programs best suire for small tasks which are parametric. If you would like to use more effectively you need to have Customization of Pro-Engineer with Pro-Toolkit or J-Link your require "C" or Java profeciency to procced further apart from Pro-Engineer knowledge.

You can call me: 9900562990...still any Q's.

With regards,

Kishore V

The easiest way to automate Pro without buying expensive licenses is J.Link or Web.Link.

What you choose depends on what you need... J.Link has triggers that you can use to automatically run functions based on some operations that the user does (Regenerating for instance) Web.Link providesa good way to put a user interface to automate tasks.... It does not have triggers, but you can have a web page that creates models for you.
