X section - measurement

Hey all, I have searched for answers to this question but have had 0 success so far, so guess the answer is NO...


But... Q : Is it possible to take measurements whilst in Xsec views on the partthatthe section views ?


E.g If I was creating a part with screw Bosses, the bosses would have a small draft for casting etc. I then want to create a flat plate which sits somewhere along the draft angle...so I want to measure the diameter of the boss at the point the section passes through it ?

Yes you can.

Create the xsection through the level at which you want to place the plate.

Then measure vertex to vertex to get the diameter of the cone.
