x- section problems

Hello everyone!<?:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:eek:ffice:eek:ffice" />

I have a very strange problem with my proe drawing- I have two files one generic and one instance in the firs of them I have a offset x-section respectively I have too in the second one. When I decide to make a drawing of the instance the x- section doesn't come. I decide to test and make a drawing of the generic file but the x- section is there. My question is how can I do the drawing of the instance file and the problem x -section will be displayed.

Thanks.

George

Hi George,....

In which version of ProE are you working and what is the exact error/warning that ProE gives you in drawing mode? Is it something like 'Xsec could not be created' ?

In general there should be no problem when you create a X-sec in a model and show it afterwards in a drawing.
However,.....
I found outthat when the X-sec plane or X-sec sketch passes a tangency point or vertex or an unattached edge, it could be that ProE doesn't come up with the X-sec in drawing mode. To resolve that, simply increase your accuracy of that model. Take by example relative 0.0001, regenerate your model and go back to your drawing. In most cases your problem will be solved.
Hopefully resolve this your problem....

creating "x- section" has no relation with family table.

for each member you have to create the "x-section" if you want them in drawing.

so eventough you have created "x-section" in the generic file , you have to create the "x-section" in the instance file also if you want it in drawing.

Most likely your X-section has been suppressed due to a parent-child relationship. Check if the X-section references a suppressed feature.

Hi everyone <?:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:eek:ffice:eek:ffice" />

Thanks for the decisions but I solve the problem very easy I just move the section line to 0.01mm of original- "problem x- section line" and the problem disappeared.
