I am creating an assembly drawing. All the sectional views have been added in 2D drawing. However, the sections disappear after I replace one of the components, can anyone tell me the reason and its solution?
Does your assembly still have the cross sections? If the cross sections referenced the part you replaced they may be deleted. Did you use the replaced part to orient the views? If so the views may no longer be properly oriented to show the cross sections. Those are the first 2 reasons that come to mind.
I checked what you mentioned. The cross sections are still inside the list. For your info, I am using WF 2.0. I checked the references for creating the cross section (inside Sketcher due to the cross section is built using Offset option) and noticed the references do not relate to the part I replaced. Then I checked the view orientation, but it also does not refer to the part that I replaced. Do you have any idea of this?
Can you add the cross sections back to the views? If so, I have no idea why they went away. If not, usually the reason a cross section does not display properly in drawing mode is because some surface is very nearly tangent to the cutting plane. If you change the component back to the original, do the section views come back?
I tried to replace the component back to its original component, but the situation is still the same. The sections all shown in the list, but when I tried to activate them, there is note specifying "Cross section not found". When I tried to redefine them, the note "Cross section could not be created" appear.
In an offset cross section, be sure the sketched cutting lines extend past all components being cross sectioned.
Increase the accuracy of the component causing the cross section to fail, (very small edges can cause problems). If unsure which component is causing the problem, try suppressing the most suspicious suspects until the cross section reappears.
