rserafin, regarding ldbcompact and size of the workspace database file local.ddb...


- ldbcompact.bat can corrupt your local.ddb file on certain versions of ilink (been told by my tech support guy) so we comment it out of our start-up batch file;


- size of local.ddb can be max. 2GB, but you're right, system runs slowly when that file is getting bigger


- and one more thing: when size of local.ddb is greater than 2GB ilink won't start anymore and the worst case scenario is you loose all the models in WS

We compact all workspaces on every launch and have not seen a problem with corruption. A cursory check of the knowledgebase revealed one memory error involved with ldbcompact in Intralink 3.3 from build 2002470to build 2003290

I found that the graphics card that I had with 2001 was not up to the job when using WF1.
