A shrinkwrap is an outside shell of an assembly or part made up of quilts. You can make the shrinkwrap independent so you don't have to have every single part in your workspace that makes up that assembly. What I've used them for is to represent large installations and then they can be shown as background in a drawing so you can see where other parts or assemblies would mount on it.
