arrow at both side of a line

View attachment 3939

In above picture there is a view at an angle.I want to show dimention 'a' as shown in the picture.I can do this indirectly using symbols or can use arrow of a dummy note. But is there any direct method where we just draw a line and can put arrow at both ends regardless of any angle like we have option in power point presentation.

Thanks.

To the best of my knowledge there is no direct way; other than creating a NOTE in Part mode. This is if you want it to be part of PROE file.

If it is only for presentation purpose, it is best done outside of PROE, so that you dont clutter the file.

You can also create a driven dimension (I presume you do not want "a" but a value instead).

Riyaz,

You could create a dimension (Slanted)that represents what you want and then change the dimension text (RMB>-Properties) to what you require.

[In the text section of the dim props, change @D to @O and then type in the text you require after the @O]

kev is right it is the best way to achive what you want.

the other lengthy way is.... make two leader note one with the text required by you and other left empty ( click spacebar when pro/e ask to enter text). and align these two leaders accordingly

This you can achive by overwrittendimension. First you take a dimension where you required and go to the properties of that dimension and delete "D" and write "O" then write any note there as you want.

Example: @o RAM

it should like in properties.
