BOM is not getting updated

I have made a BOM in which there is a column for weight. But when i change the model dimension, the weight is not getting update. Can anybody tell me what may be the reason for it.....

It might be that the weight is not being updated in the model. Try this, make a 3D note in one of the models to show the weight. Now change the size, does this note update?

I have recalculated the mass property ..still it is not getting updated

the updated value...need some help

The reason why I asked about the note is that at one time generating the report worked. But for some reason it doesn't now. Have a look at this file it might give you a clue. The note is just a quick way to see if those parameters update, if this works the weight in the bom will also work.

The only way I can get this note to update is to suppress & resume V in the footer.

Anyone care to explain what is happening here and why gen report doesn't work?

I seem to remember having the problem where the mass properties didn't update in the footer in WF3 or at least we had problems with it updating. Didn't use WF4 so don't know if there is an issue. In WF5 it seems to be corrected. WhenI display both the pro_mp_mass parameter and the mass feature parameter in the tree they both update as they should.

I have changed the value of mass_property_calculate config option in to Automatic and my problem solved...!!!

Can anybody tell me what is this mp_calc_level all_models related to????

u may need to recalculate mass properties.
Go to edit>setup>mass properties>generate report

I dont know, y ur problem was not solved, when I asked u to do same thing...
U changed config. to do it automatically..while I told u to do same thing manually..!!!

Setting mp_calc_level to all_models will cause the mass properties analysis to report mass property results for all the components and subassemblies within the top assembly.
