break relation b/w ballons and BOM table

Hi,

Can anybody tell me how to break the relation of baloons with bom table.

I'm removing a part from the assembly, and what I need is the item should stay in the BOM TABLE(drawing).(normally, when a item is deleted from assembly it does not reflect in the BOM table... But I need it in other way......

may be unusual.. but this is my requirement... Any help please???

quite untypical question, because of parametric modeller i think this is no possible.
You should add manualy bom and row in table, or you can make a surface part for positions, but in real you cant make it. Why do you need it? can you specify?

Aworkaroundthat allowsthe BOM to remain parametric is to leave the the part in the assembly and suppress the features within the part (for multiple items of the same part delete all but one). You can then dash item the quantity column. If you need the part as a stand alone drawing or for another project you could replace the item in the current assembly with a bulk item part or an empty part that is used as a place holder for deleted items.

A workaround that is not parametric is to create balloon notes that point to the parts and assemblies before removing the repeat region. When you remove the repeat region the text items remain in the table and the original BOM balloons are removed.
