I'm trying to center a symbol in a table cell in both the vertical as well as the horizontal directions.I added the symol as a note using &sym(tri) .But I'm unable to do so. Please see attached pics. Could someone tell me what I'm missing here?
Definition of your symbol & where the insertion point is set will affect it's vertical positioning in a line of text & thus in a table as well. Most of my symbols have been defined so they center properly but some do not. What I do is add a line of text above or below the symbol, adjust the text height of the extra text & then replace the text character with a space character so it does not print. A bit fussy but it works. The same can be done on either side of symbols to get everything pretty.
