Changing section names

Hello friends

Is there anyone knowing how to change the section name that is by default created in detailing? The thing is I have some dirty drawing sheets to draw, and the client specified sections the names of which sond like A-B, C-D, E-F etc, etc. I know it's not usual, but this is it!

By default, in Pro, if I chose for exemple A as letter in the section creation dialogue, I shall get an A at each end of the section line... And I need to have for instance A at the first end and B at the other... The same for the section itself! I can obtain to be written Section A-A, or section A-B-A-B. Still, I need Section A-B, end of story!

If anyone is so kind as to unravel the mistery, thanks a lot in advance!

Your client is asking for something that is not allowed by any of the major drafting standards. You will have to erase the standard (conforming) Pro/E section arrows & notes and manually create your own. It might be good to point out the relevant sections of ISO 128:1982 to your client.

Thanks so much for your confirmation, as I had began to doubt such possibilities before posting the question, still I was blaming myself and nothing else for not being able to respect specifications.

One more question, please. It regards the offset section. The section passes through two different holes in a row, on a direction pallel to the view direction. See picture.

One hole is threaded, the other one is not. One hole (threaded) halved on one side, one (not threaded) also halved on the other. I should see the thread only on oneside of the cutting line and I see it on both! So I am not very happy.

Is there a setting I missed or messed up? Thanks for your time.

Adrian

Sorry, it didn't.

The thread lines can be affected by converting the entire view to draft entities only - that's what I found so far. But I don't want to this since that breaks the link with the main view, so there will be no more updates.

Thanks anyway, Adrian.
