Complicated model u have ever faced

Hi all. This is my most complicated model(assembly)I haveever modeled. This is Planetary gearbox to the tank. When is tank runing 100km/h then can insert reverse mod in realtime

Very powerful machine.

Tell me what was the reason to put in assembly so much relations and
parameters. I suppose it was(this assembly) diffucult to handle\work
for some one else than You:)

Still, I am convince that complicated model is not that one that has a
strange shape and need a special tools like spinal blend or features
from Tweak menu to build.

Yes it is funny to that stuff, but in real who need it?

Sometimes there is a much more work to be done with models that does not look strange. For me a great examples are rough bodies.

I made some models of that from an old drawings and it is horror. It
apears that there is no problem with making a car with Surfaces but to
make a valve body with all rounds and drafts.

Miko,

Nice work! What is the final torque ratio of the whole planetary system?

Have you set up the gear connections?

I made a planetary gear system for a former professor of mine to
demonstrate in class (it was modeled after the gear train from a drill)
and the way I had to set up the gear connection was to make one between
the input and output axes, and then individual gear connections from
the input shaft to the planets. I just made it this way so that it
*looked* correct and could be moved in real-time, but I don't think my
model would have worked if I had to run a dynamic analysis. I couldn't
figure out the proper set up the make sure the load was distributed
between three planet gears.

I think I've got the most complicated model I have ever faced sitting
on my desk right now. I'm trying to make a Pro/E model of a dead guy's
brain. All I have to work with are some photographs and two STL files
from a laser scanner that crashed my computer the first time I tried to
load them. The job is for the neuroscience department at a University
Hospital (pro bono) and the goal is to develop a parametric solid model
of the brain envelope based on simple measurements.

So markthemech it looks like "reverse" engeering:)

What tools do You use? Scan tools?

It will be great if You colud write some words with Your thoughts at the end.

Well the reason was that this is one project of creating parametric variant construction of stator core controlled with layout. All mathematical calculations are set in parts, assembly and layout, so changing input parameters changes whole asm, parts and drawings.

I'm trying to use Pro/E's reverse engineering extension on that project
but the STL files themselves are not of the best quality. Pro/E keeps
telling me the surfaces have to be manifold (which they aren't.. ever
laser scanned something that is covered in slime?). Right now I'm
trying to find someone close to me (geographically) who has Polytrans
and would let me use it. And since it's pro-bono work, it's hard for me to find anyone to help me for free!

Hopefully the results will be published (mind you, if they are it would
be in a neuroscience journal, and I can't understand anything in those
anyways). If all goes well I will make a little write up on how I did
it.

Miko,

would be nice if you attach your planetary assembly suh that others can learn from it.

Miko,

I do not want the model, but I want to thank you for the pretty
pictures. It is always nice to see the interesting things that
others are working on.

Hi all
markthemech:Yes my planetary assembly have relations and gear connections between parts. I will write the others parameters-torque ratio, velocity, dimensions of my Willson planetary gearbox but first I must find it in my notebook.
I dont have a much time right now for this, sorry. I will sent it soon

Israr:I can sent it to you if you want. Give me your email and then I will sent assembly to you.
MFegenbush: I am appreciate your opinion. I can sent to you other rendered pictures if you want..

Hy Guys
Ok here is a complicated (not extremely) part for all u guys. U can download, resume features and then make by <?:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:eek:ffice:smarttags" />ur own. U cant copy the features like this one bcoze I had made this part in assembly mode.
Ok make it, enjoy it and design a mold for this ( this is the actual challenge)
