Copied drawing w/ Family Table

Hi all,

Along the lines of jaybat12's discussion earlier - I first created a drawing with one family table instance of a medium-size assembly as the model. I then did a "save as" copy with new file name, and I replaced the model with a different instance. Sounds routine and straight-forward, right? Also, let me point out that these are "Customer Use" drawings with minimal added/created dimensions.

My dilemma is this --> when I open these 2 prints again, one of them always has several purple dimensions. Even tho I redefine these dimensions and save, the situation happens again and again.

Any ideas? We are using Wildfire v2 & ILink v3.4

Thanks,

Are these dimensions only found in part of the instances?

If the dimension is part of an instance that is not shown, it's going to show up Purple.

Related to this, don't delete any created dimensions, erase them instead, as they will dissappear in your other drawings if you delete them.

This depends on how you have created dimensions saved. If they are saved in the drawing you can delete them in one drawing & they will still be present in the other. If you have them saved with the model then deleting them will remove them from both drawings.

Config option CREATE_DRAWING_DIMS_ONLY
