Hi, I have a question regarding using created balloons from the model tree while doing a drawing and calling out parts so it is associated with view/model tree item. I just started with new company and will explain what the issue is and since no one knows the proper way to do it here, how the company goes around the issue. I am not familiar with this issue so I will try and be specific so please bare with me.
There is a BOM/PL in a table form on the drawing, weinsert a view on the drawing for a specific simp rep (not the master rep). We then get into setting a region for the table by doing the following;
SELECT INSIDE BOM/PL TABLE
GO TO AND SELECT TABLE AT TOP OF MENU SCREEN<?:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com
ffice
ffice" />
SELECT BOM BALLOON FROM DROP DOWN MENU
SELECT SET REGION
SELECT INSIDE THE TABLE
SELECT OK
Now we are still in the drawing, go to model tree and select an item you want to add balloon for, right mouse button click and you should get option to ADD BALLOON. Problem is thatwe do not get this option using aspecific simp rep, ONLY when we have a view of the MASTER REP on the drawing.
How they have been getting around this, in my opion is not correct because it forces you to NOT USE SIMP REPS and I am telling people SIMP REPS are a great function to use and should be used. They have been dropping in their view on the drawing using the MASTER REP, then they go into VIEW/DRAWING DISPLAY/COMPONENT DISPLAY/BLANK (they go in and blank out 2D geometry/components they don't want to see in view) then they go in and andSET REGION FOR TABLE etc. so associated balloons get put in via the model tree.
Does anyone know if there is a way to add balloons via the model tree so they are associated to the view using a specific simp rep and not the master rep???
Any specific step by step instructions/help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your assistance and time.
Doug
