cross section one part

In an assembly .drw is there a way of cross-sectioning one part and not another? When i try to cross section a two part assembly both part get sectioned.

You could do a local section view and just circle around the part you want to be sectioned. Other than that, I do not know.

Right-click on the section, propertiesand select next or previous until the x-section for the desired component is highlighted then select exclude component.

But then there will be some situations when the section will be over theexcluded parts.
