Cross section using a cosmetic thread

Hi, I've produced a part that has a cosmetic thread and then created a standard cross section view through that part. Thats fine. Started a drawing, placed my views on the drawing, but when I come to place a cross section view using the Cosmetic view it doesn cut through the cosmetic thread. Leaving lines through the section. So the view is incorrect. I'll upload a picture which will explain it more. Please could someone help me out on this issue.

We have had this problem several times and the way we overcome it, when it happens, is to create a sketch overlaying the cosmetic thread. ie use the edge of the cosmetic thread in the sketch. we then change the colour properties of the sketch to be leaderline yellow, turn off the layer for cosmetic thread and turn on the layer for curves and the sketch then appears on the drawing view as though it were a cross-sectioned cosmetic thread. Needless to say, the sketch has to be drawn on the plane used when creating the cross-section

Hope this helps

I think if you have the cosmetic thread as minimum dia for external threads and maximum dia forinternal threads it should give you the results.
