Customizing repeat regions

I was looking for a way to put my family table instances intoa table on a drawing. One post I found was pretty helpful. It was Isair's post on:

This procedure works for me. I can display all the parameters, their values, and the instance names. This is all good with a few exception. My family table has three parameters, the first two are dimension, and the third is a title.

My first problem is that I do not need to display the third parameter, the title, on my drawing. All I need to display are the two dimension parameters.

My second problem is the names for the parameters. The two parameters I want to display have names of 'd12' and 'd13', which don't really mean much on the drawing. I was hoping to be able to change that from 'd12' to 'A' or 'width' or something like that. I tried using relations, but I guess I was doing something wrong. Any attempt I made to create a relation resulted in the table going blank.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

The way to alter the 2 dimension parameters is to open the generic model, highlight the feature with the dimension in & choose to Edit (not Edit Definition).

Select the dimension, right-click & select Properties. Go to the second tab, & where it has dimension name, replace it with a descriptive name (only text, numbers & underscores as per normal parameters).

To exclude the items you do not want you can go to table>repeat region>filters select your region, then select by rule

&fam.inst.param.name != param_name

where param_name is the name of the parameter you do not want

TO remove the parameter above method is good.

For Avoiding the name d12 and d13....you can create parameters and relate the same with d12 and d13....and then in family table add parameter rather than dimensions....
