hi friends,

this is my first topic to our site. i need to place alphabets near the numerical value in geometrical tolerance symbol. is it possible. if yes kindly explain. it can be possible on the right-side, but i need it inside the box.

with regards,

Sarvana.

Sarvana,

There is no possibility to do that (if someone wants to correct me on this, please do so, I want it as well!! ).

Normally when you have this type of problem, you need to cheat. Best way to cheat is to build your own symbol.

You can create a fake geometric tolerance by making a note and using the @[text@] notation to put it inside a box. String several together to make the series of boxes for the symbol. However, I strongly discourage you from making a non-standard geometric tolerance. If you don't follow convention, it is meaningless.

Hey every one, what you need to do, is go into the part or assemblyand create a datum or axis whare you want you yout geometric plane to be, then go to edit>setup>"geom tol" >set datum. then pic you datum, call it say "A"click ok.

Then go back into your drawing instert > geometric tolerance, under the datum refs tab select select the drop down menu select "A". now it will show up inside yout gtol box.

hope this helps
