Drawing affected by HIDE command

Hi, quick question..

Is there a config option (or good workaround) for preventing a graphical HIDE in the model affecting the drawing? I would like the drawing to respect a part suppress but not the model HIDE.

background... Consider having an assembly and its drawing in session, performing some modifications and then interrogating the model to check your work (which may require a HIDE). Once checking is complete, switch to the drawing, save and create a pdf. The resultant pdf file has the hidden part missing from the drawing.

WF3 (Not using AAX or modelcheck)

Thanks in advance.

I've had someone else print a drawing while I was viewing the model for some troubleshooting. I had a lot of stuff hidden, and the other person couldn't figure out why only half the assembly printed. They went to my boss, he came to me and said "What the ~!@#$ is going on with this print? I thought you were done with this assembly?"

Well, after some explaining I convinced him it's a quirk in Pro-E...

This "quirk" has bitten us a few timesthat I'm aware of. I wish there was a config to prevent this. I haven't founf anything yet.

Inow create more simplified reps so I can use them to "hide" the enclosures on my machines to see the insides, or hide other commonly hidden items... Seems to be a little better.
