hi,

the view scale is based on the drawing scale. but how view size?

i understand that the view size u mean is drawing view, when selected its extends actual geometry. is this is the case there may be come csys ouside the model this u can fix by making partial view.

if this is not the case please explain.

To Set the Size of the Drawing View

  1. <LI =kadov-p-CTopic-Text-Numbered>
    Determine the edge that you want to use as the basis for setting the drawing_scale_factor. Pro/ENGINEER uses the dimension value and the length of this edge in the drawing to calculate it. Whenever you change either one of these variables ("length" or d#), it calculates the length of model edges according to the following equation:

length in the view = (dimension value) x(drawing_scale_factor) x (drawing_scale)

  1. <LI =kadov-p-CTopic-Text-Numbered>
    Add the following relation to the part or assembly:

drawing_scale_factor = length / dimension
where length is the parameter corresponding to the current drawing measurement of the above dimension d#, and dimension is a model dimension, d#.

  1. <LI =kadov-p-CTopic-Text-Numbered>
    Regenerate the model.

this info i am giving you from help file.

Dear Sridarank,

By the way i would like to know how you are linking Pro/E with EXCEL. Even I have done a good amount of automation thru' Pro/Program. I am using WF3.0. Pls let me know.
