hello everybody

i am facing an problem in dimensioning

i am having an cube(part) of 100x100x100

but i have to give fake dimension as 95x95x100

how can i do thaty, can any boby help me please

thank you

It is easy, just when you create yours dimensions in drawing (not show/erase), double click on dimensions and under dimension text instead @D, wrote @o (o like Overwrite) and yours new value of dimension.

This is not good modelling/drawing practise to modify dimensions in that way. Why dont you just change your cube to the correct size?

drifter is right, cheeting is note a good way of modeling. This could cause sevier damage in lost. Imagen that practicing you get the habbit of doing it. And forsome strainge reason that dwg get in the wrong hands and it's manufacture by tracing aX file by scalethe part will come out with the wrongdims. Get my point. If you're going to do it do it right. And have a good night sleep.

i think you are mistaking me

i am working in die casting designing

i need to give mold base drawing to shop floor

i need to add allowense to finish size

for rough m/cing

for that purpose i can use fake dimention

Now that I see the reason you want to do it, I agree with dr_gallup One
instance with rough sized dimensions, the other wth finished sized
dimensions.
