I've been following this topic since it was first posted with a lot of intrest. I don't have much use for surfacing anymore, however I am one of the few that remembers when if you wanted 3d models you used surfaces or wire frames, long time ago. MississippiKid, if you could share your model when you arefinished I would really like to look it over. Like I said I have been doing this for a long time and what you guys are doing with surfaces is impressive.

I hooked hundreds onto that underlying curve structure I call lattice structure or bounding box.... that is me deeming descriptive terms.Hooking people on surfacing pushes designers and engineers up the latter of power users. It gets boring living in solids for so many years.

Just completed a 3 day plastics class with a small focus on diecast and surfacing to AGCO today in MN.Driving back now 5 hrs to go.

Thank god for wireless connectivity near gas stations.

I hope you take the time to finish the storm trooper helmet. Post a zip of your model + images so the users can help.August, where is that German WWII helmet?

I'm telling everyone about mcadcentral.com BTW.

I completed a significant update this week on the plastics and dicast sections to the design engine training materials.
