How to set text on background ?

I have a question ! Does anyone now if it is possible to put text on a drawing as a not ( perhaps on the background - if it exist ?) so it will be not printed with whole document ?


The reason is that I want to have drawing with notes just for my self in CAD system and not on a drawing that is approved .


I hope that you understand what I mean , if not than just ask and I will try to answer your questions .

You can put the notes on the layer and then hide it (perhaps with mapkey) before printing, or hide it by default, so the notes won't be shown when you open the drawing but you can then unhide the layer and show/edit the notes afterwards.

You are right , it is one way but only when you are working only by your selve and not by whole team allover the world

. You can also unselect the layer when you are printing a document but it makes a biger risk .


There must be something else ?!!

How about adding a drawing note with ahyperlink to an area where your notes are kept? I don't see any way to do what you are asking in Pro/E. I think Acrobat has this ability to add markups that don't get printed.

Working with teams requires setting standards & enforcing that people follow them. Layers & mapkeys are going to be your best bet.

You can put the note outside the border of the drawing. You will be able to see it, but it will not print with the drawing.

I have a similar situation. Here is what i do. I put all of my notes on a seperate sheet inside the same drawing. That way when i want to print out a approval drawing the notes are in a different sheet that i chose not to print out.
