I need help on sketching a 3D line.

Good Friday,

I am trying to create a line that looks like the screen shot I did in photoshop here. The top view looks like the first image. But the side view will bend down like on the second image. It is not on one plane? Can some Guru in here teach me how to do this? Thanks in advance!

can you clarify your technique a little more? Do I create the sketch on the sideview on the center datum plane?

When you do an Intersect Curve the curves/sketches are still there, just hidden. Right click the curves and choose Unhide. You can then re-use the curves.

If you are getting funky results what you can do is Extrude the 2D sketches as surfaces and then see where they intersect. This will give you better visualization. You can then select the 2 extruded surfaces and use the Intersect Tool. This is essentially what the Intersect Tool does when you use just the sketches.

Can you share your model or exact sketches?

It could be easier to sketch a curve... extrude that curve into a surface. Then sketch another curve on a different plane and extrude that surface. Then intersect those surfaces using the intersect tool to make a curve. In this way you get to visualize the surfaces and better understand where they intersect.
