Hi all,

Can some one tell me where I can change units, from inshes to millineter in Wildfire 3.0 drawing and modeling.

thank you in advance

<DIV>I'm not sure in WF 3.0, but in WF 1.0 while in part mode, on the top tool bar, select</DIV>
<DIV>"Edit", then "Setup". When the dialog box opens, select "Units".</DIV>
<DIV></DIV>
<DIV>When the Units dialog box opens up, select the "System of Units"</DIV>
<DIV>tab, (if not already selected). Select the type of units that you</DIV>
<DIV>want, probably "millimeter Newton Second". Noew select the "Set"</DIV>
<DIV>button. Another box opens up asking if you want to keep the same</DIV>
<DIV>size or the same dimensions. If the part is really in inches and you</DIV>
<DIV>just want proe to convert it to millimeters, this is keeping the same</DIV>
<DIV>size. If the part was created with millimeter dimensions, but the units</DIV>
<DIV>were set at inches, then you would want to keep the same dimensions.</DIV>
<DIV></DIV>
<DIV>After making your selection, select "OK". This should complete the task.</DIV>

If you want to change the units of the model follow appinmi's instructions.

If you just want to change the units in the drawings go to "Drawing Options", set secondry dimensions to mm and then selct to display secondry units only.

Hi

goosemonster:
In Europe we use Meter as base for dimensioning, witch means that mm should bee the first choice not sec...not to bee roude. So James2, you shold use the one i mentioned.

much esier when then diminsioning whit mm only.
