Length Perameter calling in BOM

Hi Tesla77

as u asked for length perameter showing in BOM, first u must set a perameter in ejector pin (part) named length or whatever u want. then u make a BOM with repeat region in drawing, put one report perameter by rmb in the table cell> reportperameter>assy>mbr>user def>now u put your perameter here.

I will send u my bom table and a part, when ucreate a dwg and put this table as a bom, uwill see that uthe length, width, thickness and dia is shown in bom. I had swiched my job so I will arrange those part within a couple of days.

Zaki,

I understand how the parameters and BOM repeat region tables work well enough for basic use. I would like to know how I can set up a relation to the part length parameter of an ejector pin, so when I modify the length in my mold design the BOM reads the right length. How do I learn how to write relations in ProE?

Let's say the parameter is "length" then you write in part relations length=d100 where d100 is the dimension that gives the length of your part. Then put this length as asm.mbr.length in BOM. This should work, unless you change the part to another then you have to make sure the new part has the same relation, otherwise the BOM will show nothing.

Vlad u are rite. U also can save perameters in start part or template and when u finish it u can relate it to any dimension. U also change the dimension like d100 by change its property, go to properties and where u see the name d100 u can rename it to length.

And about ur problem, tesla I dont know how did u design molds and how did u assemble ejector pins. If u use manual ejector pins then its must be relate with mold assy and it is too hard and time consuming. If u use EMX, so its not so hard, bcoz emx can change quickly the change length of your ejectors and its trimmed too. but when u get the dimension, and it generates the bom automatically. So u dont need to worry. Do u have it or u need it? pm me
