Mirrored holes in hole chart

Hello,

today I've tried to use a hole chart to simplify a drawing of a big plate with a lot of holes. But I've recognized that mirrored holes will not appear in my hole chart.

Does anybody know how I can let appear these mirrored holes into my hole chart?
Using a Axis Table is no sollution, because then the hole diameter will not appear.

Does anybody know if the hole chart feature is improved in WF4, because the hole chart of WF3 has some serious limitations!!!

Kind regards

Can you give some information on how you arecreating the holes? Mirrored holes shouldn't be a problem.

Hi kdem,

here you can see how I've made my mirrored holes. I first have made some hales and patterned them. Then I mirrored them around a datum plane.
The original holes apear without any problem into the table. But the mirrored holes don't appear at all.

Kind regards

Did you by any chance create the hole chart before creating the mirrored pattern? If so, try going back under the hole table menu and select update and see if the holes show up.

No, I first have made the total model, and after that I've created the drwing and the hole chart. So this is not the problem.

Are the holes standard or sketched holes? There is an option in the drawing.dtl all_holes_in_hole_table that you may want set to yes. Did you modify the mirrored holes to be independent of the original pattern? If you modify the mirrored hole pattern and make the hole a standard or sketched hole, if the option mentioned is set to no standard and sketched holes will not show, which could cause what you are seeing with the original hole pattern showing in the table but the mirrored holes not showing. If both the pattern of holes and its mirror are not showing the placement surface for the holes is probably the opposite side surface.

Hi Kdem,

the holes which I'm using are just standard holes.
Can you please tell me were I can find the drawing.dtl???

Kind regards

In your drawing select File>Properties and in the Menu Manager select Drawing Options. Sort the list by alphabetical and all_holes_in_hole_table should be the second option in the list.

Forgot to mention you may need to save the drawing.dtl in your start up directory if you don't have one.

I didn't have any problem updating the hole table so there wasn't a problem with the model file. I only had to update the drawing by updating the hole table. I included the updated drawing and a jpg of the drawing so you can see that hole designations D9 thru D16 were added to the view and to the hole table. If you still have problems you may want to try updating your installation of ProE if you have active maintenance. I'm using date code M170. I also looked through the issues found with various date codes. There was an issue with the hole table correctlylisting the holes in a part in date code M090 that was corrected in M110.
