Hi all,

My model tree is empty with no features, but the model is present in the graphics area, this happened whe i tried ot redorder some quilts in my big model..

I run WF2.0 M130.

Thanks

Hope you have a backup copy.

(As far as I know) Blanking layers has no effect on features showing in model tree.

Are you sure you have the Master Rep of the model loaded?

Menu: Info, Model. What's it say?

Yes, I have a back up and already recovered from that loss, but only due to rework and not by solving.

Yes, it is Master Rep and also the option model_tree_start is set to yes.

also the info-> model does not show any feature in the list, only 3 cross sections created.

Any body can help in this?

Thanks in advance!!

Can you post the model? Or, better yet; get it to PTC? Empty feature list and xsecs doesn't make any sense to me(for what little that's worth).

Jeff,

I have asked help from PTC, but this is a issue which can cause trouble later..and there is no TAN for it...

I will update this thread when the solution or cause for the problem is found..

THanks all...

Hi,

It is not a hide situation, it is seriously that the model has the full geometry but it has no features, like u can say that it behaves like an imported geometry..

Any ideas, any one?

Thanks

Still no really good ideas, but wonder what might happen if you run Model Player or Feature Operations, Suppress, Range (see if anything shows?) and then Resume All. Might sort itself out or just crash and burn.

Does anything show up in Layers?

Few things you should answer first and try.
Was that part completely created with ProE, from firs feature to last?
Was you the one who modeled it?

If so try to open previous versions of part (I hope you didn't purge directory)to see if is there any features in model tree in previous model.

Also try to run ProE without any configs (go to directory where proe is installed, go to bin directory run file proe.exe ), then try to open again your part and see if anything happens.

You should also try method that Jeff described.

Hope you will find solution.

Hi all,

This gets interesting...I am summarising the answers asked by all of you

Does anything show up in Layers?

No, after i unhide all layers, only 3 datum planes show up..

Yes, and i did notdo it.I am supposed to solvedthis problem..

If so try to open previous versions of part (I hope you didn't purge directory)to see if is there any features in model tree in previous model.

Yes, the version of the model before this mishap is OK with all the features in model tree..

Also try to run ProE without any configs (go to directory where proe is installed, go to bin directory run file proe.exe ), then try to open again your part and see if anything happens.

with proe with no config, still the same, also with next date codes..(mine is M130, I tried with M171 and M181)

but wonder what might happen if you run Model Player or Feature Operations, Suppress, Range (see if anything shows?) and then Resume All.

The model player Icon is greyed out,

I could add only datums, and extrudes..I could not add rounds, fillets...

once i add such extrude, the goemtery of hte actual model vanishes..

also, one info is that once I create any datum plane, the feometry vanishes from graphics window, and model mass is zero!!

Also If I suppress the datum plane, the geometry (original model) vanishes,

If I resume the plane(it succeeds), geometry does not reappear!! My guess is that the goemtry is also suppressed in that case and could not be selected to resume(I cannot use reusme all, as the option is not shown)..

Second idea is

You want help? Don't pass a solution as trivial, try it.

I've ran into the same issue, there are two ways to fix it:

Double-click on the model name in the model tree. Or, "Show" - "Expand All" in the model tree.
