Is there any direct method of offsetting a 2D profile in sketcher mode of Pro/e. I think it is not possible. If any one having solution to this pls do write.

maybe you can use the "copy /paste" function and scale it and then place it at the same location to have it "look like an offset"? ? its not offsetting , but i

Dear Mukesh,
Proe works different as compared to AutoCAD.
Perhaps thin protrusion would satisfy your requirement.
Check it out.

I asked the same question a while back. And the conclusion was it is not possible! Why?

Search for my posts.

Edit:

Here is the topic:

And here is the "bottom line":

Model geometry and sketcher geometry with proe are too different to work together in one sketch. Because of that offset is disabled in model geometry!

be more specific are you offseting in the 2D plane or normal to the sketch plane. Either way is possible.

The only way I know how to do this is to first create the 2d profile in a separate sketch. then, in your new sketch you can select the previously created sketch entities and offset them. It's a P.I.T.A. because it takes two steps but it works.

Yes and that was discussed in topic link i gave. And the conclusion was as you said michaelpaul.
