Offset Cross Sections

I don't have Wildfire 3 myself, but I think the only way to modify cross-sections is from the model, not the drawing.

In WF1, have Model Sectioningat the pulldown menu to edit cross section, but where in the WF2 or WF3 ?

While you are in Drawing View, select Sections then 2D cross-section. Under Name select Create New... This will cause a pop-up menu asking if you want planar or offset, upon selection you will be brought back to the model for section creation.

Be sure to pick a datum that is normal to the section being created. If you want a planar (offset datum) section you can select the parent datum in drawingif the datum planes are visible.

In WF 2, section views (as well as exploded views, simplified reps, etc) are controlled in the "View Manager" dialog box, in the model or assembly window. VIEW > VIEW MANAGER. Probably similar in WF3.

If you want to create an offset section, you can create a datum curve with the sketch-datum tool:

Then use the datum curve to generate the section (in sketch, use create an entity from an edge). This will allow dimensions (from the curve) to be available in the drawing. Since this (theoretically) is what you are doing when you create an offsetsection, the dimensions should be available but I haven't been able to get them to show up in the drawing.
