PDF from drw with TTFont wo stroking text

Hi guys,
I've read through this forum and many others but still I don't have a solution for my problem.

I'd like to make pdf files from Pro/E 5 drw with true type fonts (with special czech characters - especially diacritical marks) without stroking them. I tried many combinations and settings but still now success. At this time there are two results for two means of pdf creation:

1) if I use the PDF Creator, all letters including diacritical marks are ok, but text symbols (plus/minus mark, diameter, geometrical tolerances etc.) are printed wrong. Instead of them there are printed symbols which I can see in notepad edit mode of note.

2) if I use Save As PDF dialog, then all marks are ok, but diacritical marks are printed wrong...

Don't you have some suggestions how to solve this?

Thanks a lot for every idea which I could try to apply...

Pavel

Have you tried printing to Post Script printer >> print to file and then converting that post script file to PDF?

But as you are under WF 5, why are you using PDF creator (i think you mean print to a pdf) or save as PDF? You should use the "publish" tab and set PDF preferences there...

Hi guys, thx for your replies.

dr_gallup:
yes, I tried but without success

zpaolo:
that!s the mean I!ve described in my 1st post in the point two - during this process there is problem with special characteres (diacritical marks).

If I look into properties of pdf file created via Save As dialog, then the included font is encoded in ANSI. In PDF generated via PDF Creator the encoding is custom.

Couldn't be the problem somewhere in here?

UPDATE:
At this time via Publish - Export to PDF dialog I can get into these two states:
1) final PDF looks good, but in ProE drawing special characters are displayed wrong.
2) ProE drawing looks good, but special characters in final PDF are displayed wrong.

I've tested font conversion to various encodings and character sets (Windows 1252, Windows 1250, ANSI, CE etc.), to TTF and OTF but I can't get the good combination to have proper displayed special characters in drawing and also in PDF.

During conversion process there is some internal conversion process with various encoding also dependant on pro_lang system variable.

Don't you know wouldn't it be possible somewhere configure the choice of text/charset encoding in ProE drawing? (If during pdf export process I can get proper representation of text (which is wrong displayed in drawing...) I still hope I could get this representation also in drawing...

Thx a lot for every advice:)

EDIT: plz still no advice?

Hi matohamo,
tx for your reply. Please do you think would it be possible to provide me your font? Or to write here some simple description how to do that.

Thx a lot!!!
