hi, i am trying to edit the lines in a pro-E part to all be 0.0100 cm.
i am not sure how to create a file called table.pnt file
pen 1 thickness .0100 cm;
pen 2 thickness .0100 cm;
pen 3 thickness .0100 cm;
pen 4 thickness .0100 cm;
pen 5 thickness .0100 cm;
pen 6 thickness .0100 cm;
pen 7 thickness .0100 cm;
pen 8 thickness .0100 cm;
i just want to confirm if this is right
also, i do not know where to create this table.pnt file from, and once i do, how do i tell pro-e to take my part and apply these changes to the lines.
Can someone please provide step by step instructions? Thank you very much. \

The contents of the pen table are OK. Copy these lines into a notepad file and save as table.pnt or any other name with a .pnt extension. There is no any restriction on the location of this file. You can place this file in any folder of your choice and location of this l\file is to be included in your config.pro. The corresponding parameter is "pen_table_file".

There is an option of overwriting this setting using a "Plot Configuration File". You can define different pen thickness tables in different pcf files. Hence it is better to ensure the coorectness of pen table being used while plotting.

You can point your config.pro to call on the PCF file with pen weights in it, but we never understood why we should keep them seperate because we want the same output forall printers used. So wesimply add the pen weight values directlyinto ourconfig file.

Ok, i saved it as a table.pnt file and saved it in my C drive

Then i opened up config.pro

in there what do i type?

do i simply type:

pen_table_file C:\table.pnt

and then it should apply the changes to the .prt file once i open it and so when i print it, the lines will be 100 micron? Thank you very much.
