problem in index of BOM with flexible fea

In drafting of big assembly bom i could not fix the bom table according to the input drawing BOM since the flexible parts like o-rings and springs were unable to fix in the Automated Bom


Pleasehelp meto fix the flexible components in BOM in PRO/E

Do you mean fix as using the fix command to change the order/number in the BOM? If so I may not be understanding you correctly, since I have been able to use the fix command to change the #/order of BOM items. Could you clarify?


I have also had problems with the display of flexible components in the BOM. I also would like to fix, as in correct the BOM, butam not sure if this is in the same category.Some components, such as Backup rings, show multiple entry lines in the BOM though they are the same component with the same variable dimensions (Eg. both have variable diameter of 2 mm). They should show in 1 line with the quantity field showing the number of times this component is used in the assembly.


Is this part of your problem also? If no, do you know how to correct this?

I've also been unable to add a balloon to a flexible part. I've tried adding an additional column in the repeat region so that a specific entry is created for the particular instance (length for example). Hopefully we'll see a fix in a future release.

assemble the flexible component int a subassembly with the same name, assemble using "default". Then you can attach balloons to the subassy and it can be fixed in the BOM table. Because it is an assy you can possibly use the same name for it as the part.
