proe 2001 crash after creating a DXF

I have recently got to use proe 2001 for one of my contract (I am normally using Wildfire 2) and I have come accross a problem that is when I want to create a DXF of one of my Drawing; it is created and then proe crashed without warning. Some of my colleage experience the same problem but do not have an answer for it.
Does anyone know of a patch for it or this problem is simply been resolved for the later proe version and therefore I would have to cope with the problem.

I have created hundreds of dxfs from drawings in 2001 build code 2004290 and cannot recall it ever crashing after this
