Hi Everyone,

I want to find out. Can you create part and drawing templates? If so, please let me know. I am new to WF V3.0 and currently use Solidworks. I thank you in advance.

Ashok,

To customize drawing setup, you can try this route. File>Properties. Click Drawing Options. The Options dialog box opens. Edit drawing setup options as necessary. Click Apply. Save your changes. I hope this will do it.

Good luck,

Hoang

I think what hnguye14 may be looking for is a way to directly import his SolidWorks template filesinto Pro/E format files 'as is'; i.e., with all the intelligent fields intact. Getting the basic sheets to translate should be easy, using a DXF format or the like. But I doubt thatretaining the parametrictext is possible, although there may be an easy way to re-establish the links to the parameter table.

Ifhnguye14 just got into Pro/E, PTC should be willing to assistyou directly on this, and should be overjoyed to havea new customerconverting from SolidWorks to Pro/E, as many customers are doing just the opposite. This is very site-specific stuff, so practical assistance on this topic from users on this message board is going to be quite limited, esp.for a new user.

Mindripper,

You're correct! I am attempting get part and drawing ProE templates for latter use as same way Solidworks had it. My companyis swicthingCAD systemand I don't know reason why.I had contacted PTCfor assistance in this matter and they're pretty much useless. Any tips to setup file templates within ProE directory, please let me know. I thank you in advance and look forward to your response.
